Battle fleet Gothic Ork vs Nurgle

image

Just a few photos from from my game of BFG this weekend a friendly game of Ork pirate fleet vs Chaos Nurgle Marines . We played 1500 point game it would have been more if I had more Ork ships finished:) but with all my projects on my plate at the moment it will be a few months before that army is finished and 100% painted. It was an interesting battle but In the end Ork strategy was bad this time. When the game was over and points were totaled up my opponent had done a staggering 792 points to my measly 200 points of destroyed ships. I will post my Ork ships photos when there painted up and I can get well lit photos.  image image image image

Looks like a great fun game. Visually it looks amazing, especially with your unique Orky ships vs the gribbly green Nurgle fleet. Everything so nicely painted really makes it pop as well.

I hope BFG is one of the games that GW re-release with their new attitude to the market. I split a box years ago, but the other guy got the rules and that’s as fas as they ever got. I still have my little ships sitting in parts in a box waiting for a re-release….

Thank you Azazel for the kind words, and yes it was a fun game! I do like when I get to play games where both sides have nicely painted models it does make for more enjoyable game all around. And as far as the new GW specialist game company that GW has formed I hear that Adeptsmechanicus / Epic will be one of the first release from the new company, but I hope the new BFG video game that just came out is a good indication that they will stay true to the old BFG game and make some stellar models when they finally release it again!

May I use some of these pics on Wikipedia? Would you release them to the public domain?

Yes if it’s for a BFG or GW related page! I might be ok with that. What is the wiki page content is it for?

That’s awesome thank you for asking first! I am very happy to have the honor of having one of my photos be on a GW related wiki page!

I had to ask you first because I wanted you to relinquish your copyright to the photo. This means that anybody can use your photo without paying you royalties. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that prizes free content. You do understand this, do you? If you didn’t understand this, please tell me, I can still have your photo removed.

I’m ok with that. My word press is a nonprofit hobby page any way , but I see what you mean about copyright just because it’s a google searchable image doesn’t necessarily mean it’s royalty free! Thank you

Thank you for your contribution. The photograph of yours that I picked is simply perfect. The perspective, the resolution, the lighting, the fact that you can see the two players in the frame, along with dice and other material… I couldn’t ask for more. Anyone who looks at that pic will instantly get what “Battlefleet Gothic” is. 🙂

Sorry to trouble you further, but I need an explicit statement from you: Have you released this photo (https://vongutenboom.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/image12.jpg) to the public domain? Wikimedia demands an explicit statement for legal reason.

I’m just letting you know that although you released your photo to the public domain, it cannot be hosted on the Wikimedia Commons because the toys in the photo are themselves copyrighted. Therefore, I moved the photo to a different repository, where it is listed under Fair Use terms. Nevertheless, I am happy you gave your consent to use this pic on Wikipedia. You don’t have to do anything else, I’m just letting you know.
